WOW! That was the first thing we said when we noticed the setting for our sweet table. The red brick at il Cortile restaurant was a perfect compliment to the 2-tier wedding cake we made for Sonia and Antonio, who by the way, were the nicest couple you will ever meet. The restaurant had an old country look to it right in the heart of downtown Montreal. It was a perfect mix of old school and modern decor, which is what Sonia and Antoine were looking for their sweet table. For that, we prepared a wide range of desserts from sicilian cartucci to caramel and pecan brownies.
The rest of the menu consisted of individual tiramisù cups (little side note, we use real Mascarpone to make our pastries), mini fruit tarts with fresh custard, mini Oreo cakes, mini Ferrero Rocher cakes, vanilla cake pops, german chocolate brownies, creme brûlés, mini chocolate mousses, lemon merengue and 2 different types of cupcakes: chocolate with walnuts and vanilla/caramel drops.
